Starfish is a vehicle tracking system. To be absolutely precise, it is a Mobile Asset Tracking System.
It will track anything that moves although they would mostly be vehicles. The system uses the Global Positioning System together with a GSM link to transfer information back to the Starfish Servers on the Internet.
Users can then log on and be able to track and locate the vehicle.
There are two flavours of Starfish. One comes complete with a car alarm system using Microchip's Keeloq system and the other
comes with telemetry options and is best suited for commercial vehicles.
